CHIP & PIN CARDS
Our gift cards are valid for at least 8 months from the date of issue. The expiry date is printed on the front of the physical card.
Once expired you won’t be able to use your card, and a £2.50/month dormancy fees is deducted from the balance.
However, it’s not all bad news! You can avoid dormancy fees by transferring the remaining balance to a new CHIP & PIN card for a £5 balance deduction to cover our direct costs to issue the new card. Please use the form below to request this.
VIRTUAL GIFT CARDS
If you have a virtual gift card it is valid for 12 months from the date you received it.
Once expired you won’t be able to use your card, and a £2.50/month dormancy fee is deducted from the balance.
We are unable to transfer this to a new card at present, but we are working on it.
OLDER MAGNETIC STRIPE CARDS
There are still a few older magnetic stripe gift cards out there. If you card doesn’t have a CHIP on the front, you have one of these!
These gift cards are valid for up to12 months from the date of activation. The expiry date printed on the front of the card may well be longer than this.
We are sorry, but this makes things a little confusing (which is why we no longer offer them!).
FEES AFTER 12 MONTHS FROM ACTIVATION:
After 12 months from activation, your card is charged £2.50/month dormancy fees. This means that you will be charged dormancy fees for the time between 12 months from activation and the expiry date on the front of the card.
However, it’s not all bad news! You can avoid these fees by transferring the remaining balance to a new CHIP & PIN card for a £5 balance deduction to cover our direct costs to issue the new card. Please use the form below to request this.
EXPIRY:
You can still use your gift card until the expiry date printed on the front.
